YUBA CITY, CALIFORNIA: The Yuba City Bears late rally wasn’t enough as they lost to the Lincoln Potters 7-6 on Friday night. The Bears fell behind 7-3 in the seventh but made things interesting later in the game. Kollyn Lawrence’s RBI single in the eighth inning scored Dalton Bishop to cut the deficit to 7-4. Steven Robinson singled with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to score Trey Yukumoto and Dace Asher which brought the Bears within one run. Yuba City was unable to get the tying run across the plate as Josh Winkler popped out to the second baseman to end the game. Steven Robinson led the Bears with three hits, three RBI’s, and one run scored.
The Yuba City Bears will close out the 2017 GWL season on Saturday night against the Lincoln Potters. Saturday’s game is the final fireworks night of the season, presented by Feather Falls Casino Brewing Company.
